Mt. Abu is not only is a pleasent summer retreat in the barren desert landscape of Rajasthan but also is replete with monumental wonders. It is the only hill station in Rajasthan amidst the lush greens and rugged hills. It is situated at the southern tip of the Aravali ranges. Its total area is around 25 Sq. Km. This hill station has a cool climate due to its moderate height and rich flora covering the entire hillside. Vegetation includes coniferous trees and flowering shrubs. The road leading to Mount Abu is a curved one characterized by arid region dotted with huge rocks in weird shapes and high velocity winds. The travel around the hills is thrilling. Best Season to visit this hill station is Mid-March to June and also Mid-September to December.

Dilwara Temples:
These beautifully carved Jain temples, situated two miles north of Mount Abu dating back to the 11th and 13th centuries.· They are amongst the finest temples in India. They are so intricately and delicately carved as to appear as if they have been carved out of ivory rather than marble. · They are the finest monuments not to be missed by any tourist of Rajasthan.
Nakki Lake:
The word Nakki means finger nails. It is believed that the lake was clawed out of the earth by the fingernails of the gods. This religious belief is a testimony of its beauty. It is a pretty lake surrounded by wooden hills. It is the focal point of the entire town. Boating is a popular pastime. In south west of the lake, there is a Sunset Point to have beautiful view of the surrounding hills. From here you can see the sunset spectacularly between two sunset peaks.
Adhar Devi Temple:
Just 3 kms outside the town, this entire temple has been cut out from a single rock. The temple has to be reached by ascending around 200 steps. It is a place of sublime beauty.
